Poznan University of Technology (PL) is looking for partners for a project under the call ‘Green airports and ports as multimodal hubs for sustainable and smart mobility’ (ID: LC-GD-5-1-2020).
The University can provide valuable input that would relate to Kakolewo Aerodrome (ICAO airport code EPPG) - a post-military airfield currently used as a civil airfield located in Western Poland. It is dedicated to be a place where research and development (R&D) activities are carried out. Apart from the scientific activity, the airport is used for intense airplane training. Any Green Airport experimental work at the TRL 6 level may be performed at the Kąkolewo airport. More information about the airport can be found here.

  • showcasing the use of innovative de-icing and anti-icing procedures and infrastructures

Terminal:

  • demonstrating integration of new solutions with operations, green and smart logistics and infrastructures;
  • improving the energy efficiency of buildings; optimising services such as lighting, heating,

Energy:

  • addressing the entire energy value chain from supply to use

Cross-cutting issues:

  • air quality (indoor, outdoor, including decontamination from microbiological pathogens) and noise trade-off;
  • use of ICT and, among others, EU satellite-based solutions to effectively manage resources and assets, including management of information and production of knowledge, taking into account all the related safety and security aspects of the solutions developed and proposed.
